On June 2, 2001, the Peasant and Emigration Museum officially opened its doors.

A stroll through the village accompanied by music. In front, six of our visiting friends from sister city Oxford Junction, Iowa. Of course, you can also travel in style in an authentic horse wagon.

Restoring the Village Green and Playing Grounds

With a grand of the Via Foundation, the OSciety asked the vilalgers what they want to do with the old abandoned village green. The majority voted for restoring the playing grounds to have some possibilities for children to play. Villagers and youths worked together to realize this, with regional company Jipama donating some time and work with have ground machines as well.
